Adventure Game Studio is a very easy to use, yet quite versatile engine. Here you will find some resources I made for the engine. Feel free to use them. Exile source 10 September 2002 These are the source files from Exile, minus the videos. This includes graphics and game code. It is provided so you can learn how the scripting was done, and so you can recycle graphics, rip the GUI, make sequels, go nuts ;) You can download the source files from Exile from here. This interface is the one I always wanted, and never got from commercial Adventure games. It is, in some way, a combination of many, and in some way, one on its own. You are free to customize it as you wish, or use it as is. The interface relies on the global script, which has lots of comments to make easy customization, but if you are not comfortable with messing with the code, you can open the project, and start your game from there.
The demo rooms don't necessarily make sense. You may find some messages disconcerting, but it doesn’t matter. It’s there to illustrate how some stuff is done. Of course, you need AGS to use the files.
You can download the SpaceGui from here.
